Anyone read the book Female Piety by John Angell James?
Anyone have the book and could I borrow it?

thanks,
Suzanne

These are the 3 5-star reviews on Amazon:

1.The author, John Angell James, must have had the best mother or
grandmother in the world because his view of women is spot on!! Though
written in the 1800s, the focus of each chapter is so relevant &
contemporary. I believe if this book were to be read by women in
churches across America, we would see a female "Great Awakening!" I have
taught it at several ladies' retreats over the years & used it for
ladies' Bible studies.

2.The most important book a female could ever read! Enough said.

3.Any true Christian woman that takes her role as a woman seriously,
must read this book.

I have not/do not, but I'd be curious to hear how it is.

Yeah, me too! :) Maybe I'll buy it. I'd rather look into it first. I
wonder if the church library has it.
