Has anyone had any luck making a generator for (Acer) InsydeH2O-Bios' new 10-digit number setup?
Got a new Aspire 715-71G and "upgraded" the pre-installed Windows 10 to Win8.1, installed Acer's fingerprint software, it asked to enable preboot authorization and to set a master password.. I did.
The password I typed into the PrebootAuth program is not the one it set in the bios. (There was no password before their borked-ass program erroneously set one)
Installed Mint on it after Win8.1 failed to yield workable drivers.. Mint needs SecureBoot password, or for SecureBoot to be disabled to be able to install/load things like nVidia drivers :(
Any help is greatly appreciated and I can even upload an image of the EFI bios if it would help.
(Password is stored on EEPROM, I've already done the shorting-pads and pulling batteries method, does nothing useful)
