Hi

I found this thread from http://hpgl.blog.ru/, and I really hope you
can help me. I tried to put a password on my Latitude and it worked
out no problem. However, when I rebooted the computer and entered the
same password, it did not work.

This is the service tag I get: #***5VG1YWG2-2A7B

It appears that -2A7B, is the next version of the HDD password
generation, and thus I have not been able to recover the password
using Latitude_MasterPW.exe or latitude.exe.

Any clues to how I can recover my password?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Thank you very much. Unfortunately I learned that when I enter the
master password Dell has set it up to delete all my data securely. So
it would seem that Im out of luck. Does anyone know where how to
bruteforce hack a password locked hdd? Tools? or any other ideas? :)

Thanks in advance!
