Hi,
Sorry to spam when I'm not asking you to play frisbee... I know many of you may not know me. I haven't been out to pick up in a while. I'm looking for a roommate in my Hyde Park apartment. Please let me know if you're interested, or if you know someone else who might be.
Thanks,
Alex

Logistics:
-It's in Hyde Park on Blackstone Ave. near the corner of 57th St.
-The lease starts July 1st, but my roommate is moving to CA June 1st, so if you want to move in a month early (June 1st), that would work even better.
-Rent is $650 a month, which includes internet and heat. Gas is about $18/ month and electricity is about $21 /month (which we would then split). There's an air conditioning unit in the living room.
-Dishwasher!
-The building is an independently-owned walk-up with 5 units.  The landlords are accessible.
-Pretty much fully furnished. You can probably even have my roommate's bed if you don't want to bring in your own furniture.

The perks of the location:
-There is free street parking
-Less than a 5 minute walk from the #6 bus (#28, 10, and others) that go to the loop, and the metra train. A 10-15 min. bus ride from the Red Line
-10 minute walk until you're standing on the beach!
-5 minute jog from the Lakefront trail
-tons of park space (a Japanese garden and nature area just south of the Museum of Science & Industry)
-very close to Lake Shore Drive, so it's really easy to drive into the city
-Good grocery stores and restaurants in Hyde Park
-Close enough to the University of Chicago that you can take advantage of their events (like concerts), but far enough away that you don't feel like you're living on the campus, among college students.
-A diner next door, and the workers have pushed my car out of the snow more than once. Also nice to order from next door when I don't want to cook.

My Qualifications for a Roommate:
-Clean. I like cleaning the apartment once a week.
-Not loud between 9pm and 6:30am. I'm on a teacher schedule, so I go to bed pretty early, I have trouble sleeping with loud noises :-/

Thanks,
Alex
