Hi,

I created first two tutorials for git:

http://code.google.com/p/sympy/wiki/GitTutorials

see also some background here:

http://groups.google.com/group/sympy/browse_thread/thread/faffa999f013d6cf

I am not satisfied with the result much, but it's the start. I hope
someone will challenge me and create better videos. We should also
create similar videos for hermes examples, etc.

Let's do the videos for Hermes examples after SciPy. Regarding the
git video, could you create a similar one for Hermes?

Yes. What exact things do you think should be there? E.g. how to edit
the C++ files, or Python/Cython files? Or how to compile it? Or more
like how to work with git+hermes (which is exactly the same as
git+sympy).

Like the git + sympy video, but for hermes2d. Is there any way to add
verbal comments to the videos? That would be absolutely great.

There are two videos:

http://code.google.com/p/sympy/wiki/GitTutorials#50s_introduction

and

http://code.google.com/p/sympy/wiki/GitTutorials#8_min_introduction

I assume you meant to create both for hermes.

I am not sure I understand --- there *are* verbal comments in the
video, I am talking in there all the time.

:) In fact I had to amplify the sound 10x, so I think the sound level
should be about the same as other youtube videos --- if this is not
the case, let me know.

When I had my speaker turned on on the normal
sound level, I could not hear anything. When
I amplified to the maximum, it worked.

Ah, ok, that's bad, it should work on the normal level. I will have to
look into this, thanks for telling me.
