Hello Folks,

It has been BRILLIANT Start for HPC. Exceeded our expectations. But, as we all know, this might slowly reduce. We don't want that. So this thread, lets discuss to keep things alive.

At this point of time, I specially Congratulate Ajmal Salim for his awesome work with the Website which is the backbone of all our efforts.. Kudos Ajmal.. :) However, you are far from done.. :)

My suggestions are follows:

Changes in Site

1. Top Contributor

2. Maximum Votes person is 10
3. A New section with 2 rows and 2 columns to list Latest Challenges. Else, the new ones won't get visibility
4. A new section inside Challenges Page - Solution Obtained - The person who has put the concern can flag the Concern as Solved. Then the challenge will come here.
5. Add a ShareBox
1. An Link that's of interest to the general public - can be shared here - Will be counted for Top Contributor

6. The Picture resolution - it is an obstacle for many. Increase it or do something.

7. Remove Soln from Mandatory

8. Add a Field " Beneficiary Community"

Tips for HPC - For more votes (Add this somewhere in the homepage so that people see this):

 

1. State your problem clearly with keywords of technology and humanitarian aspect
2. If you are not sure about solution, make sure to request Solution Suggestions
3. Tag your friend's in Comment section who can reply with their views
4. add on folks

TOP Contributor - Launching soon(Put an Update like this)

The Top 3 contributors will receive IEEE goodies hamper, opportunity to work on his project with guidance from mentors. He/She will receive opportunities to Volunteer at HT.

 

The Selection will be based on point based system.

 

1. Number of concerns posted
2. Number of received votes for each Concern posted

3. Number of Comments for Challenges

4. Number of comments for other challenges

5. Regularity of login - Take one per day maximum

6. Posts in Sharebox

7. Comments in ShareBox

Add site to google Analytics.

Mission statement-  To identify,map and spread awareness on various challenges faced by humanity that can be solved by technology.

In an effort to solve these challenges,we envision the next phase as mobilizing resources and support to solve these challenges by forming Special Interest groups.
