Greetings AFS Preservation Folks,
We're gearing up for an exciting meeting in Albuquerque this week! In anticipation of our time together, I'm writing with a couple of announcements and updates.
First, it's exciting that we've had some new members added in the last few months and some renewed interest from other members of the group, so-- welcome or welcome back!
For AFS this year, we have been given a slot on the schedule for an in-person business meeting. We are scheduled for Thursday, November 7, from 12:15p-1:15p in the Jemez room of the conference hotel. For those who can't join us in-person, I'm including a Zoom link (see below). If anyone has specific agenda items to discuss, please feel free to reach out. I will send out meeting minutes following our time together next week. It might also be nice to consider scheduling a virtual meeting after AFS (perhaps in January?) to look ahead and begin brainstorming and visioning for next year's meeting.
AFS has published the updated, final version of the conference program, so I've assembled a list of panels and presentations that might be of special interest to our group members. If I've inadvertently left anyone out, please send around a reply with your presentation information, so we can add you to our list. It looks like we'll have a meeting full of vibrant, interesting presentations!
Looking forward to Albuquerque!
All best,
Sydney Varajon
