Feature Request...

First off... Thanks for finally allowing me to put away my TI-85 for
good... I only have one request that will really benefit all of us
users... And that is to allow for basic calculator functions in the
fields... For example if a variable in a formula is pounds and I only
know what the kilogram value was, for example, 3860, it would be nice
to be able to enter 3860 * 2.2046 into the field instead of working
that out elsewhere.

Let us know if you think this is a worthwhile feature.

Thank you for your interest in Formulaic, and for your suggestion.

We had an initial look at how this could be done, and discovered that
we can certainly implement your suggestion. In fact, our current
thoughts are that the input should allow any expression that would be
permissible in the context of the current equation. I.e. you'll be
able to input not only "2860 * 2.2046", but if your equation included
the variable "weight", you can also input "weight * 4", or even "sqrt
(weight * 8)". Formulaic would evaluate your input in the context of
the current equation, drawing on current variable values if required,
and set the target variable to whatever was computed.

We haven't yet finalized the feature set for the next version, but
we'd love to include this feature!

We're also pleased to hear that you're allowing your TI-85 a probably
well deserved break. If there's something you discover which you could
do with the TI-85, but which is not possible or more cumbersome with
Formulaic, please let us know!
