Thank you for your interest in Formulaic.
We loaded the equation you mentioned in the V2.0.2 of Formulaic, and
here is what it looks like:

The syntax is exactly what you provided, with the following two
differences: the built-in "PI" constant is in upper-case, and there's
now an explicit "*" for multiplication after the last closing bracket.
Solving for skin_micron:

Solving for freq_THz:

The difference in solving forward vs. backward is due to the accuracy
of inputs.
By default, Formulaic displays up to six decimal digits of accuracy,
switching to engineering notation for large or small values.
