v1 = (v2 x s2) / s1 where v1 is the volume of the beginning solution,
v2 the volume of the final soln, s1= the strength in % of the
beginning soln., and s2 the strength of the final solution.
Will your program allow me to create this formula....
Similarly, I want to create a formula of:
axbxcxd/exfx1000=g
is that possible with your program? I don't see how with your
interface...
Any help would be appreciated....
The ability to jot down notes associated with created equations would
be great also....
Thank you.
Tank you for your interest in Formulaic.
Yes, you can enter and work those equations:
1) Launch Formulaic
2) Make sure you're looking the "User Library" (if not, tap "User
Library" - the leftmost button - on the bottom toolbar)
3) Tap the "+" icon in the top right-hand corner to add an equation,
and give it a descriptive name (e.g. "Liquid Volume"), and tap "OK"
4) The "Solve" page shows for your new equation, which has been pre-
populated with the default equation. To edit your equation, click the
bottom rounded rectangle (the one showing the equation text, and a
blue right-angled bracket).
5) You're now looking at the "Edit" page, and you can use the iPhone
keyboard, cut&paste, etc. to type in your equation. You type in
exactly what you've written, i.e.: v1 = (v2 x s2) / s1
6) Click "Save", which will check your equation, and if everything is
OK, return you to the "Solve" page.
7) You can now amend the values for any variables, and solve for the
value of the variable you're interested in.
Adding notes is something we're working on for a future version. In
the interim, we would suggest using descriptive variable names (e.g.
primary_volume_cubic_meters rather than v1).
Kind regards,
Hoy Moon
