Errors related to qt5core.dll can arise for a few different different reasons. For instance, a faulty application, qt5core.dll has been deleted or misplaced, corrupted by malicious software present on your PC or a damaged Windows registry.

Hi, i think i have the same problem on 5 different computers running windows (Ubuntu 18+19 and MacOS works like a charm). After first installation on Win 10 the client GUI works fine. Some days later the GUI and the tray icon crashed but the sync is still running.
To deploy the application, we must make sure that we copy the relevant Qt DLLs (corresponding to the Qt modules used in the application) and the Windows platform plugin, qwindows.dll, as well as the executable to the same directory tree in the release subdirectory.
All Qt GUI applications require a plugin that implements the Qt Platform Abstraction (QPA) layer in Qt. For Windows, the name of the platform plugin is qwindows.dll. This file must be located within a specific subdirectory (by default, platforms) under your distribution directory. Alternatively, it is possible to adjust the search path Qt uses to find its plugins, as described below.
Some vital functions for starting Windows applications are contained in qwindows.dll Located in C:\Qt\5.4\mingw491_32\plugins\platforms. Copying this file to the same directory to the other DLLs would not work. This file is expected in the platforms subdirectory:
will perform the same feat as above, Qt will look for qwindows.dll in C:\CompanyApps\plugins\platforms. Of course you can also set an absolute path this way. And if you want a bonanza of plugins directories, you can append additional paths separated with ; (or : in Linux and Macs).

At launch, I was greated with a cmd error: This application failed to start because it could not find or load the Qt platform plugin "windows"
It seems that even tough Qt path is set, I still have to copy Qt5Core.dll, Qt5Gui.dll and Qt5Widgets.dll
