Hello,

I'm having a couple of Howl issues after updating to iOS 4.3 that I was hoping you could help with.

The first is unreliable updating. At first, I had to force quit the app every time I needed the app to refresh notifications. It then seemed to fix itself, but occasionally it does still require a force quit in order to force the app to refresh notifications.

The second is a bit more odd. Over the weekend, I suddenly stopped getting push notifications for Howl on my iPad. I still get them on my iPhone, but there are absolutely no indications of updates on my iPad. Other apps' notifications are working fine, and I double-checked the notification settings on the device. As far as I can tell, I should be getting notifications, but I'm not. One other thing to note about this: in the Howl settings on the iPad, when I try to change the "Badges" option, it says it can't save the preference remotely because there is no network. However, there most definitely is a network, and I know Howl can see it as it had just updated notifications. So I don't know if that's related.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Hey Mageuzi,

I've noticed a couple things with the latest iOS update that Howl may not be handling well.

To start getting push notifications again, you can delete the app and redownload it. This should enable syncing again.

I'll address this in a future update, but for now reinstalling is the quickest way to start getting notifications again.

Hello Jon,
It looks like deleting the app and reinstalling it did in fact solve that issue. I should have tried that first! Thanks.

The "not always updating" issue seems to still exist though, and while it is behaving better for me, a friend of mine still suffers from this all the time.

Thanks for the help.
