Hello Howl Users,

First off, I want to thank you all for your support over the last three and a half years. Howl was built to scratch an itch that I had, and I'm glad that thousands of others were able to take advantage of it as well.

Unfortunately, I am no longer able to maintain the application in the way I would like. Both App Store/iOS changes and updates to Growl require changes to the original architecture of Howl, which involve a non-trivial amount of development effort to provide further updates. If that weren't enough, family commitments require the time I had previous used to work on Howl.

Late in 2012 I removed Howl from sale. I will keep the Howl server running until the end of March, 2013. At this point messages will no longer be forwarded from the Howl plugin or API to your devices. Your existing notifications will continue to be stored on your device as long as the app continues to work in iOS.

Thank you again for all of your support and suggestions over the past years. It has been a pleasure serving this community.
