Hi,
I am not a member of your group but you gave me some welcome advice a year or two ago. I have thought about joining but am getting long in the tooth and cannot drive these days.
Anyway I have come up with a problem in that I bought a Synology NAS because I thought my Son in Law would help me set it it up, but he has suddenly gone overseas and will be away some time.
I´ve managed to set up most things in the past but this has got me puzzled. Basically I use Linux to aid my amateur photography.
Now I am unsure as how to set up the NAS, so I need a lesson so that I am able to use it, and later to change, add computers and to reset when the OS is updated.
I have been using Linux Mint with no problems for a few years now.
Anyway the perfect solution for me would if someone came to my place, in Point England, to set things up. That would save me dismantling my gear, a desktop, a laptop an Android tablet plus the Synology NAS , other bits and pieces, and then somehow transporting it all.
I realize that this might not be convenient for any person to do, so would welcome other suggestions.
I am willing to meet costs, make a donation or pay for work done.
Thanks,
Fred Roberts
