Hey

Bit of a misunderstanding in how to schedule meetups on the meetup site, so I've been re scheduling meetups.

Hope it hasn't been spamming you with emails.

Whos up for something on Multimedia for next months meeting?

I got my Mythbox and assorted startup, shutdown scripts

Anyone else have something related and of interest?

A Music server perhaps?

Ripping dvds or converting for a mobile device.

Hi,

If we can set up a small network I can bring my MPD server along together with a boombox for sound (just to show how you can interface it with your sound system.

On a completely different note, I've also been using a cross-platform reference manager called Mendeley. Although it is free to use, it is proprietary software. But it dopes run on Linux and it makes keeping track of references while writing a report much easier than anything that comes with the wordprocessor. there is an opensource reference manager called Zotero which runs through a Firefox plugin but I struggled with it. Might be of interest to students as well as those that have to write reports with references.
