Hi,

Botany Town Centre's Community Day is in about ten weeks time. I wondered if this wouldn't be a good opportunity to advertise Linux, especially to those people with computers running Windows XP about to lose support from Microsoft.  We would need a gazebo (3 x 3m) - does anyone have one that we could use?  Apart from that, the only other things I thought of, were a few PCs running Linux that people can try out (I can bring one) and a bunch of discs and/or HLUG contact details.

What does the group think? Interested?

Botany Community Day Saturday 8th March 2014

Registrations are now open Registrations are now open on our website [www.botanycommunityday.co.nz], and we wanted you to be the first to know.  We've had lots of interest, so make sure you register soon, or there's a good chance you'll miss out on a spot! This year we've been able to secure even more fantastic performers for the performance stage, including Zoo Boogie, the Tamashii Taiko Drummers, and X Factor NZ's Gap5, which will give us an even greater variety of performances throughout the day.  With such a packed schedule, we won't be able to offer performance slots to exhibitors.  You can however, still choose to participate in an on-stage interview, when you'll have the chance to speak about the services you offer.
