Hello HAL Members,
Our next HAL general meeting is coming up this Thursday, January 8th . Our speaker this month is Faith Vowler, NASA Outreach Coordinator for the Hubble Space Telescope. Her presentation
is titled "The Hubble Space Telescope: 35 Years of Discovery" and will include a brief history of the telescope, information about its present highlights and exciting resources, as and also a discussion on the telescope's future. Check the HAL
website for more info.
In addition to electing the new HAL board for 2026, we'll also cover our regular club agenda items on
upcoming club events, current shallow sky highlights, etc. As usual, the meeting will be held at 7:00 pm at the
Robinson Nature Center, in Columbia, Maryland and on Zoom (see meeting link info below).
Also, if you’ve managed to get out and do imaging or sketching of some the wonders of our night sky and would like to share at this month’s meeting, please send your astro-images, sketches, artwork, etc.,
via email to: vcs...@yahoo.com (please
do not reply-all to this email).
Hope to see you in person or online this Thursday. Thank you and clear skies,
Victor
HAL President
