Hi,

It is fast approaching the time in life when I have to get
rid of most of my toys in the next year or so.  I've had
a good run since 1950 when I found a 60 mm lens
from a broken binocular in a vacant lot, took it home,
tore my toy microscope apart and made a telescope
out of the parts and looked at the sky.  The list below is
what I have at the present time with an estimate of
what the items cost new (in most cases on the low
side).  The lot total is $16,900 (new) and I would
take $8,450 for the lot.  There are other items like
eyepieces which I rarely use, filters, finders and a
machinist cabinet for storage that would go with the lot.

I intend to keep the mount (with its current balanced load
of the C9.25 and SW 80) fully operational to be able to
show a prospective buyer who may only want the
mount but see it operate first.  Afterwards, the C9.25 and
SW 90 will be sold piecemeal.

Cheers,
Mike Hollis (retired NASA astrophysicist)

As mentioned at the HAL meeting, this morning saw a double transit of Io and Europa. Due to heavy dewing and clouds coming in, I could not stay long enough to see the moons crossing, but here are both shadows at 0453.
