Am at Mountain Meadows, Mathias, WV. Have some aurora activity here. Hoping for better shots, maybe even in focus, later.

We went up to Tromso, Norway over New Years.  Got these shots (mostly across the border in Finland).
Most taken with iphone 17 Pro - including the one video.

The ones that look lighter in shade were only slightly visible with naked eye, and only popped when looking through the camera.
However the later ones (including video) were clearly vibrant - even without the benefit of the camera.

Great! Good for you! I took a few $k of camera gear out at 2100 last night, in spite of being uncomfortable following oral surgery earlier in the day which had my lower jaw scarcely sutured onto my face. No luck with a 15-35 mm zoom lens and a wide variety of focal lengths and exposure settings. I do have some nice photos of the Baltimore light dome if anyone is interested.

visible only via "long" exposure (in this case , 6s exposure via my phone) from Howard County Fairgrounds, at 7pm last night.
Bz went negative very near sunrise, but I wasn't awake to check for more activity.

The nightly timelapse I create of my remote telescope in New Mexico caught it quite vividly last night, down there at 34 degrees latitude.
