Good morning HAL,
I hosted an impromptu Star Party last night, and we had a fantastic turnout of 18 people.
The weather was perfect. The moon was already low when it got dark and set by 10:30 PM. We welcomed four groups of new members and their families. Some brought telescopes, while others came just to enjoy the atmosphere. We had great conversations and ensured everyone felt welcome and had a wonderful experience.
Several members captured images of the Tulip Nebula, the Andromeda Galaxy, the Lagoon Nebula, and the Elephant's Trunk Nebula. Personally, I noticed how much longer the night felt, and it is great to finally have more viewing time.
We enjoyed perfectly clear skies without a single cloud. I wanted to stay all night, but I had to leave for work today. We packed up and closed the park at 1:00 AM with no issues to report.
Best regards,
Jose Urias
