HAL July Members Mtg This Thursday

Good morning HAL members & friends,

I hope everyone had a fun and safe July 4^th this weekend and had minimal impact from the storms (I am without power until tomorrow evening, so writing this at Panera 😛). This meeting has the theme of “Simple Astronomy”, discussing low-tech ways we can enjoy this wonderful hobby. Mini-talks on using binoculars to explore the heavens, a travelogue on taking in a solar eclipse in a minimalist yet satisfying way, and some tips on using your phone to capture some night sky photos are on deck. 

Of course we will have our regular segments such as Member Astrophotos, so if you have any images, sketches, or even artistic pieces please send them directly to me for inclusion.

The meeting is at the Robinson Nature Center starting at 7 p.m. and of course you can attend virtually using the Zoom link below. Hope to see you there!
