Well over 300 guests came out on a beautiful fall Saturday night for HAL’s public star party commemorating International Observe the Moon Night. Over 20 member scopes and the Illig scope were showing off the moon, Saturn, Neptune, Andromeda, and more. Several digital scopes were targeting deep sky targets despite the bright moonlight. Krystal, Bob, and the Sundar family shared activity tables with an appreciative audience. The crowd finally thinned out a little after 10, and we closed up the park just after 11.
