Hello. I was previously an active member of HAL, but 15 years ago became busy with a new job, which happily allowed me to acquire land in West Virginia and build a roll-off roof observatory, which is where I have done most of my observing since. We are now moving out of our home in Columbia and I am looking to lighten up my telescope equipment.

I would like to rehome (or best offer) a Celestron 9.25" SCT, purchased in 2002 from Company Seven, with a Losmandy dovetail and Bob's Knobs. This scope may still hold some outstanding views from the 2003 Mars opposition! It is housed in a cleverly modified cooler.  I have a dew shield and likely a dew remover to go with it.

Also, a Takahashi EM-200 Temma 2 mount, purchased from Oceanside in 2006, with an SE-L (long leg) tripod (I actually have two tripods available). I ran this using a version of the Sky on a handheld computer connected via a device from Socket. Possibly not, but it might be a small project for someone to get the mount going again, but it is a very capable mount when you do. The mount comes with the amazing Scopeguard case seen in the picture.

Finally, a 14" Meade ACF purchased from Company Seven in 2010. I was operating this in the observatory on an AP900. I have since swapped it out for a large TEC refractor.

This equipment is available at the best price offered. I don't want to move it and would consider even a very low price to someone who wants to give it a try and could get some enjoyment out of it. The Tak mount may be more of a question mark, simply because it hasn't been operated for a while and the control technology would need to be updated. I am willing to let someone take it on approval and if they find some value in it, and compensate me subsequently as they think fair. My timing is by the end of the first week of June.

Please email me for a phone number or photos if you want to discuss any of this.

Good morning,

How much would you accept for the 9.25 inch SCT?

The equipment I was looking to rehome has all been moved along.  Thank you, everyone, for you interest.
George
