Here is an image of the ISS as it passed over the HAL Observatory tonight at the public star party. Someone opened to point it out w a laser.

Regarding  my image of the ISS, in which someone pointed a laser at it,  one member raised an excellent point:
We know that it is illegal and dangerous to point a laser at aircraft. But it is also likely illegal to point a laser at spacecraft.
According to AI:

"No, it is generally illegal and dangerous to intentionally shine a laser at the International Space Station (ISS) or any orbiting spacecraft. Such actions violate federal laws regarding laser interference with aviation/spacecraft, can cause hazardous distractions to astronauts, and carry severe penalties, including heavy fines and imprisonment."
