Impromptu Star Party Report (09/06/2026)

Good morning HAL,

Last night was actually pretty nice. There was more people than I expected given the late notice I sent.

We had 14 people total at the park and we enjoyed not only a moonless night but also a very clear one.

We had a couple of imaging scope and also some visual observers.

I forgot to write down what everyone was doing so excuse my terrible memory, but I remember seeing a Seestar S50 observing M101. I personally targeted the object of the month, the bubble nebula, which I decided to frame alongside the lobster claw nebula and M52. 

There were no incidents during the night. I left and closed the park around 12:25 am. Tonight served as a reminder to start packing up a jacket for the star parties as we could feel the chills!
