Social skills group help

Hi guys!

I hope everyone is doing well! Can you believe it’s been 10 years since we graduated! Time is really flying.

I have a request. Does anyone have experience leading a pediatric social skills group? I would like to add it to the services we offer at Triumph.

I’ve done reading and handwriting in a group. Not social skills with kids in a group. Most of my paed (they spell things funny down here) work is in the home with some observations in the classroom.

I mean.. I do run psych groups at PIW adolescents units. I'm open to taking a swing at it. lol I want to build out something with executive functioning for the kiddos... its all the rave these days. Call me lets talk.

What kind of social skills are you thinking? I talked with the school behavior coach and speech therapist about doing "zones of regulation" groups with some of our shared students. I did Kelly Mahler's interoception training and she has a curriculum to teach interoception skills to kids that could be good for a group too. I've thought about doing that as well with speech and behavior, but turning an idea into reality hasn't worked out quite yet haha.
