Hi All,

February 27, 3:30-5:30, (4th Saturday), Central Library, Meeting
starts at 3:30.

Note our later starting time.

It's time for our next meeting, our last meeting had very low
attendance, so please let me know if you plan to attend so I won't be
the only one!

I'll also be bringing some materials so we can make several playing
fields for the RoboShopper challenge (see below) so you can take one
home with you, and I will need a head count for that, so let me know
if you want one.

As always, this isn't my club - it's OUR club, and I continue to need
your input to know how to make it interesting for ALL, so please let
me hear your ideas and complaints.

I only got one suggestion for the Mega Challenge:

A robot follows a maze into a dark area (RoboMazing and ScaredyBot),
turns on a light, finds a bottle (Popbot), and comes back through
without dropping it.

I think this is a great combination of missions! I'm going to suggest
a slight modification in order to use the light sensor a different
way:

RoboShopper: A robot goes into a store (actually a maze) and locates a
can of soda (filled or empty?), picks it up, locates the cashier (as
identified by a light source (a small desk lamp) at some random corner
of the store), goes to the cashier and pays (one lego piece) for the
soda, and then exits the store via _the_door_it_entered_. The store
will be laid out like the RoboMazing challenge, except that the Start/
Finish will both be usable doors. We will flip a coin each time to
decide which door the robot will have to use. There will be four
possible places to locate the soda can, and we will flip a coin twice
to decide where to place it. There will be two positions for the light/
cashier and we will flip one coin to decide where to place it.

Hi again,

I haven't heard from anyone yet, if I don't hear from a few people
confirming that they are coming, I plan to cancel the meeting.
