Hey all,
I hope you're well. Quick summary of the below:
1) If you have already turned in 6 applications, you've passed the midterm and all you need to turn in this week is your 5 Year Resume and a pdf of your LinkedIn profile by 6:30 on Wednesday.
2) If you have not turned in 6 applications, you need to just turn in 1 completed job application as usual and your LinkedIn profile.
3) (If you don't have a LinkedIn profile, you need to make one. It takes 5 minutes to get a basic one, seriously).
Here's the full message:
As a reminder, due Wednesday is 1 complete job application, uploaded to your Google Docs accounts.
Unless you already have done 6 applications. If you already have completed 6 applications, you can turn in a 5 Year Resume. If your 5 Year Plan had you living with chimps in Zimbabwe, your 5 Year Resume should be different, perhaps focusing on your career as an international pirate and cobbler.
If you have completed 6 applications, congratulations! You have passed the midterm. If not, by October 22nd you need to have 6 applications uploaded to Google Docs. This, and all things administrative, for the course can be found on the syllabus:
This week, if you don't already have a LinkedIn profile: please make a basic one. It takes about 5 minutes, and all you have to do is upload a resume to initially populate it.
I look forward to seeing you all on Wednesday, where we'll have a lecture on networking and leveraging from the Director of the Career Center, Farouk Dey.
I hope everyone is having a calm and nutritional week,
Jessica
