For students who don't go they can spend time in Amsterdam.

Dear all,

 

The Stay Okay hostel informed me that you have to pay the rest of the money for your stay directly when checking in. There is still euro 1246,50 to be paid. Meaning euro 103,80. per person for the week. I have paid 415,50 in advance, please pay me back on Monday, 34,60 p person. Piangpin could you please collect this money from the students. Thanks.

 

On Monday 9:30 h I will be present in the lobby to pick you up. From there we will walk to the Africa house where Gerhard Bruyns, a professor from DSD will explain the urban developments in Amsterdam. Gerhard just completed his PhD in Delft and is an expert on urban planning. He was working with me in Dessau last semester.

 

I am working on the the site visit for the rest of the week.

 

When you come from Amsterdam Central station, you can either walk via Geldersekade, Nieuw Markt, to Kloverniersburgwal. Or take a tram till Mint tower, (V&D stop), and walk via Nieuwe Doelenstraat to Kloverniersburgwal.

There are regular trains from Schiphol airport to Central station. Takes about 20 minutes to get there. Tram from CS to V&D stop is about 7 minutes.
