Less than 650 days to go before the 2011 edition of Paris-Brest-
Paris! This is by far the world's premiere randonneuring event, the
Mecca for all randonneurs. Whether you are committed to going or just
hopeful, it's time to start focusing.

For both veterans and novices, qualifying is difficult. Finishing a
1200 km ride in 90 hours is much harder. The terrain, language, and
logistics all add to the challenge. Let's make sure the Houston
contingent is ready.

I want to have a series of periodic get-togethers leading up to the
big event. These would be primarily bike rides, but may also include
purely social activities. The purpose is both to share experiences
and, as the date approaches, to ramp up training.

Let me know offline if you would like to participate. Anyone with
interest in PBP is welcome.

Stay tuned for more details.

It will be an adventure like no other, you will swear you will never do it
again, but then you will. DD
