(FYI, removing Oct 29 info ~ too many routes for me to keep doing bothEmoji)

Hi all,

Thinks are looking good!!  Folks are signing up, so check out the updated rider list HERE.  If you're on the fence, please send in multiple waivers.  No need to stress over it 2 nights before.  Dan's going to be out of town starting Wednesday, so please be sure you send waivers to both of us.

Couple updates and the original info is below.

October 8
  • 1000K:  officially removed from the RUSA calendar
  • 400k Detour:  400k has a bridge out so below is a new GPS.  For those in the know, the extra leg leaving Groesbeck on the return has a bridge under construction through Dec 2022 is deleted, so this is basically an out & back route...then do a 2.5mile out&back at the finish to get the overall miles. This is probably the only time we do this detour route and an updated excel cue sheet in the google folder.
  • Start:  7:15am
  • Riders:  Lots, like me, sent in multiple waivers.  If you know what you are/aren't riding, please consider narrowing it down.  Several are hoping to see someone to ride with and I'll connect as many as I can, but feel free to email the group as you plan.
  • New Randos!:   Very excited to share new randos Claren and Breton will be riding their first RUSA 200k!!!

    Hi all,

I'm finally in the 21st century... took the time to create a google doc for signup lists!  We want you to sign up (and sign waivers) for as many rides as you are considering, so you can decide the night before without scrambling to send signed waivers.  Please realize, any edits you make to this spreadsheet will be saved just like you left it, so don't be going wacko on me or we'll have a failed test run :)

Lots of information below for these multi-day rides, so please let Dan and/or me know any questions.  You can still email me your ride info and I'm happy to update the doc, but I don't anticipate including rider lists on these emails.

    If you're a yes or a maybe:
    - Please send in your LSR membership and dues.  They will be honored for 2023 as well.
    - Please get your hotel reservation.  You can always cancel it.
    - Please make sure you are on the interested list for any or all rides.
    - Please be sure you have paypal'd your LSR dues and $5 ride insurance fee to dandri...@me.com  using "friends and family!"

    THE DETAILS:
    • $5 RUSA Ride Fee - All riders are required to pay the $5 insurance fee, per ride, IN ADVANCE OF RIDING.  This will go directly to RUSA, so please get with Dan (dandri...@me.com) and pay in advance into a "piggy bank" for yourself (you can pay in advance for multiple rides and save lots of hassle).  You are not allowed to pay after the ride.
    • Start:  Italy TigerMart, 101 LR Campbell Rd., Italy, TX
    • Park:  Either behind Denny's (preferred) or along the eastern part of the parking lot along the I-35 service road.
    • Cue Sheets:  Please print your own cue sheet.  I do not plan to bring any printed cues unless you let me know by Thursday morning that you need a printed version.   Still in process, but working from the RWGPS files, so RWGPS links are the most current.
    • Start:  anytime by Noon on event day. Oct 8 Group start:  7:15am
    • Night Gear:  Required for everything over 211k and with days getting shorter, I hope 200k'ers will take night gear as well.
    • Services:  TigerMart (24hr), Denny's (7a-11p, 24hr Th,F,S), Golden Chick.
      • Across street:  Subway, Taco Bell, Rice Express
      • Across Hwy:  Shell (24hr), McD's, Jack in the Box, Sonic
    • Proof of Passage:  Proof of passage will be by EPP, store receipts and/or time-stamped photos at controls.   Please plan to provide your GPS file, time-stamped selfies at each control and/or store receipts.  After you finish, please email your proof of passage and RUSA # to Dan. YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR TEXTING YOUR FINISH INFO & RUSA #TO DAN 817.925.0158.
    • Hotel:  Italy Inn 101 LR Campbell Rd, Italy 76651.  972.483.7507. (the ride start)
      • This place is "roughhhhh!" - I bring eye mask/ear plugs for truck stop noises/lights
      • Some rooms have micro/refrig - verify when reserving and there IS an extra charge
      • Hotelguests get free coffee & sodas from the fountain machine - no breakfast included
      • I used hotels.com to book so I'd have something in writing.  Pricing was the same as calling Italy Inn

    Hi all,
Couple quick updates for 355, 400 and 600k riders.  The gps shows gravel on the route from mile 78-82, but TXDOT does NOT show anything.  This is a road we ride a lot, so RWGPS could think the quarry is a gravel road... but heads up just incase TXDOT isn't up to date!
    • New Randos!:   Very excited to share new randos Kevin, Paul, Claren and Breton will be riding their first-ever RUSA ride!!! I hope you'll take some time to say hello and maybe even spend a few miles with them in hopes they'll come and play more :)
    • 200k:  Will continue to split from the longer rides at mile 53
    • Proof of Passage:  Please plan to provide a GPS file of your ride and/or selfie photos at each control after the ride.
    • Finish times:  Please text or email me your finish time with your RUSA number so you get your results entered :-)
