Alison,

There is a reroute we have used when the bridge was flooded.

About 1/2 mile prior to Kulow Rd. take a left on Old Columbus Rd.
Take Old Columbus Rd SW to I-10 access road.
Right on I-10 access road and take that to Bernardo Rd. (TA Travel Center at intersection, with services)
Take a right on Bernardo Rd and after about a mile you will be back on course.

Regards,
Wally

Yesterday I rode the Brunes Mill Perm.

Based on Doug's note I rode the reroute on the way out.  There is construction on the west bound I-10 feeder road.  It is open and passable headed west, however, the eastbound lane on that side of the interstate (north side) is gone.  They are in the process of rebuilding the road.  I did not confirm if the east bound I-10 feeder road (south side of I-10) was open.  It looked ok but I'm not certain.

On the way back I decided to take the normal route and see what the road closure issue was about.  The good news is they are replacing the low water bridge with a real bridge.  I was able to dismount and walk across the stream and up the other side but it was not easy.  I certainly would not attempt it in the dark.  No one was working on the site yesterday.  I'm sure if they were I would not have been able to cross as I did.

Something to consider as the June 18th 200 & 300K Brevets approach.  They are both routes that pass though through this section.

Regards,
Wally
