Real name /

Chris Scott (producer), Mark Armstrong and Scott Bradford (djs)

House music never sounded quite the same since Lexicon Avenue's sublime "Here I Am" appeared as the first release on Forensic Records three years ago. An awesome journey into deep funky tripped out bliss; this was the first collaboration between three of the North's most enthusiastic DJs and producers - Scott Bradford, Mark Armstrong and Chris Scott. Since then there's been no turning back, the track was picked up by Deep Dish a year or so later and released on Yoshitoshi, complete with two stunning new dub's which signalled the path that Lexicon Avenue was intent on taking - deep dark and dubby; a totally refreshing take on the progressive sound. The progressive DJs embraced the sound and the dub appears on Digweed's acclaimed Global Underground CD. Midnight on West 27th Street (a nod to Twilo), Lexicon Avenues second venture, was released in late 2000 and caused world-wide dance floor devastation. Again the emphasis was on dark, techy noises fading effortlessly in and out of the mix, this time with a sub bass which sets your nerves on end. 'Midnight' cemented Lexicon Avenue's reputation as producers of some of the freshest house music around and appeared on yet another Global Underground mix, this time Danny Howell's Nu Breed CD.

They have been keeping the North of England's clubbers moving for over a decade with their close involvement with the legendary Shindig club night, the Newcastle based team also spin the world over and produce tracks and remixes for a multitude of labels. Their own Forensic label has been going from strength to strength since the first Lexicon release, 'Hear I Am', and with releases and remixes on Satoshi Tomiie's SAW Recordings, Hooj, Renaissance, Yoshitoshi and Credence, Lexicon Avenue's reputation as the one of the hottest production teams on the block is assured.
