Join us at Deer Park Prairie on Saturday, April 25, 2026 when the prairie will be open for City Nature Challenge (and all visitors), 10:00 am to 3:00 pm. Come and enjoy the wildflowers and wildlife here and at the same time photograph all living things for the City Nature Challenge. Come and see a land that looks much as it did in 1836, when the soldiers marched to the Battle of San Jacinto, less than 10 miles away....

**IMPORTANT** When you arrive, please go into the house to sign in.  Also please sign your liability release waiver online when you register. Register at this link. (just close the 40th anniversary popup, if it appears.)

Wear closed-toe shoes, long pants. Hat, sunscreen, bug repellent are recommended. Bring camera, nature guides, binoculars if you are a birder.
