This month at the Houston Music Roundtable, join entertainment attorney
Mary Jane Hancock for a meetup on the topic of "Houston Media Source".
Learn about TV opportunities for local musicians.
The Roundtable is held on the first Tuesday of every month (tonight, Feb
7th 2006), at Under The Volcano (2348 Bissonnet, near Rice Village). The
event goes from 7pm - 10pm.
--------------------------------------------------
Next month (3/7/06), mark your calendars for our annual
pre-"you-know-what-by-what" party.
Houston doesn't need to drive to Austin to make musical connections -
we've got a rich community of musicians and we can do it right here.
Picture a couple hundred serious-minded musicians & industry folks
crammed into the Volcano, meeting and making connections ... you get the
idea. Bring your business cards & your cds, and get ready to meet other
folks who are really making it happen in Houston. And spread the word to
your lists as well.
And of course, if you ARE heading to Austin for SxSW, you're welcome
too. There are 20 Houston artists on this year's "official" bill, plus
hundreds more playing shows in Austin during the festival, and plenty of
our music business infrastructure (studio engineers, managers,
promoters, etc.) goes every year as well. So, you'll be in good company.
The gathering starts at 7pm and goes until 11pm, and will have free food
and cheap drinks (happy hour prices). More info to come later this
month, but mark your calendar now!
