Quick reminder for this Tuesday's meeting at the Volcano (March 7th).
Bring your business cards & your cds, and get ready to meet other folks
who are really making it happen in Houston. And spread the word to your
lists as well.
The gathering starts at 7pm and goes until 11pm, and we'll have free
food and cheap drinks (happy hour prices). The Volcano is located at
2349 Bissonnet, 1 block from Kirby, near rice village.
This meeting will be hosted by Ian (in from Austin this week). See you

Chris Whitley Benefit Info
Legendary singer-songwriter/guitarist, 45 year old, Chris Whitley died
of lung cancer on November 20th. A man of rare poetic honesty, Chris
Whitley maintained a resolute musical integrity throughout his career.
In the Houston area, a tribute to Chris will take place at Warehouse
Live on Sunday, March 5. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m., with the show
starting at 7:30 p.m. Current artists to perform include Shawn Colvin,
Charlie Sexton, Vernon Reid (of Living Colour), DJ Logic, Doug Pinnick,
the Sonnier Brothers, the Dan Whitley Band, John Egan, Arthur Yoria and
NDUGU. Warehouse Live is located at 813 St. Emmanual Street, Houston,
Texas. Advance tickets are $20 and can be purchased through
Ticketmaster- www.ticketmaster.com.
