Hi all - join us tonight (7/5/05) at the Volcano (2349 Bissonnet) for
our monthly "First Tuesday" gathering. There will be food, happy hour
drink prices, and lots of folks in the Houston Music Community to meet
and talk with.
Also tonight, we'll have a short presentation by Martha & Hugh Gardenier
(from the CPA firm Lake & Gardenier, LLP) on the subject of tax issues
for musicians. Not the most thrilling subject, perhaps, but it's
something we all have to deal with. So, tonight you can learn a thing or
two between beers. :)
As usual, the meeting is at the Volcano (2349 Bissonnet) and goes from
7pm to 10pm. No cover charge, free food, drinks at cheap prices, and all
the musicians you can stand in one room. Hope to see you tonight!

July 13th - Come out to a Roundtable excursion at the Rice Hotel
(downtown). It's a mixer with members of NARAS (the organization that
runs "The Grammys"). Find out more about NARAS at http://www.naras.org.
More details for this event TBA.
FYI: we've noticed that some events we're doing ("Roundtable Supports"
and "Roundtable Excursions") aren't drawing much of a crowd. We may be
forced to rethink them if people aren't interested. :( If you have any
ideas or feedback, we'd love to hear it.

- MJ Hancock is collecting band bumper stickers for two art projects
she is working on. Please bring them to the Volcano.
