First Tuesday Gathering; Tim McGlashen's Passing

Hi all - join us tonight (8/2/05) at the Volcano (2349 Bissonnet) for our
monthly "First Tuesday" gathering. There will be food, happy hour drink
prices, and lots of folks in the Houston Music Community to meet and talk
with.

As usual, the meeting is at the Volcano (2349 Bissonnet) and goes from 7pm
to 10pm. No cover charge, free food, drinks at cheap prices, and all the
musicians you can stand in one room. Mary Jane Hancock will be hosting
tonight. Hope to see you!

As most of you probably already know, the Houston music community lost a
good friend and vibrant member last month. Tim McGlashen passed away
suddenly after an illness. If you'd like to view or sign his guestbook, it's

In Memory of Tim and in Honor of his bandmates and his manager, Unity Church
of Houston's Associate Minister Farolyn Mann will be at the Roundtable
tonight (8/2) to discuss the stages of grief and how to handle the loss of a
loved one.

Additionally, a memorial concert is being planned for Sunday, September
18th, at the Meridian, so please mark your calendars and plan to come out
and pay your respects to a man who was an inspiration to us all.
