FUNERAL  & Condolence
Br. A.A. Humayun
Inna-Lillah-e-wa-Inna-Alaih-e-Rajaoon;

 

It is announced with disbelief, shock and deep sadness that Br. A.A. Humayun  (May Allah Bless his soul) with Raza-e-Ellahi passed away yesterday (Friday) evening due to cardiac arrest. Inna-Lillah-e-wa-Inna-Alaih-e-Rajaoon;

 

Br. A. A. Humayun migrated from UK to Houston and has been a resident of Houston over 35 years and one the pioneer businessman in the oriental rugs business along with his  Br. In Law under trade name Khan Carpets. Later in early 80s’ he owned, and operated Houston’s premier restaurant “Kohinoor” on Bissonnet Road, close to Hwy- 59 South. Mrs. Humayun (Bushra Bhabi) stood by him through all thick & thin and business ups and down. She is truly a role model of a faithful and supportive wife.

 

Br. A.A. Humayun was a great friend, a sincere counsel and an avid guide. He will be remembered by all who knew him for his warmth of friendship, gentle manners, classic and fine English dress up, firm stand for what he thought is right and superb etiquettes. He was the man behind many leaders in our city making them leaders or activists. He possesses special motivational skills and perseverance, when got after something, he got it done and never gave up. I, Ashraf Abbasi gratefully acknowledge   that he was the man who provided me motivation in early 80s’ to get involved in PAGH and other community or political activism.  He was one of the pioneer members of PAGH and University Club.

 

All who knew him are saddened and shocked by this tragic news. We condole and express our deepest sympathy with surviving family members. May Allah (SWT) grant them patience (Sabr-Jameel) and strength  to the family to sustain this  irreparable loss and may Allah grant forgiveness (maghfira) to the parted soul and bless him with a place Jannatul-Firdous.
