Dear Muslim Democrats ASA,

Texas Democratic Party State convention is scheduled for June 24-26 in Corpus Christie. This is one of the most important event in Texas Democratic Party where party platform is made and policies are formulated (Please see www.texasdemocrats. org). 

Muslim Democratic Caucus will have a booth in the exhibition hall and Caucus meeting will be held on Friday June 25th, where besides presentations from various candidates and Friday prayers, election of officers and board members will take place. This will be fourth state convention sine 2004, that MDC is fully participating with booth and Caucus meeting. We had in past, our members not only were elected to various committees but also won elections to national conventions.

We welcome you to this event,  if you are already elected to state delegate position.  If you are not an elected delegate, you can still be nominated to a vacant delegate position as long as you have voted in Democratic primaries or unoff  in 2010. since this is an off election year, there are ample opportunities to be ableto fill these unfilled seats

Please let us know by responding to this e-mail, or giving me a call and we will try to get you nominated to 2010 Democratic Party State Convention. This will be a great learning for our youth and will provide a great experience and networking opportunity. A high number of Muslim delegates would definitely be a great help in pushing our agenda of equal citizenry, civil rights and political empowerment. So please share this message with your friends and specially youth
