Rep. Virginia Foxx, (R-N.C.): We have more to fear from the potential
of that [health care reform] bill passing than we do from any
terrorist.

Stephen Colbert: She's right.

[Voice of translator over footage of Bin Laden: To the infidel
crusaders of America, I say, if you like your current insurance plan,
you can keep it. If not, you can choose the public option. Death
panels to America!]

Your islamotards will never control the day-to-day lives of Americans,
other than those who voluntarily follow certain elements of shariah law
- such as big media and educational establishments - the growing power
of the State over the individual is almost impossible to reverse without
a revolution.

Illiberal democrats are just as clear about their intentions as Islamist
mouthpieces, but creeping shariah is much less of a threat than creeping
totalitarianism.

Some of us can remember the same thing being said
about the passage of Medicare in 1965. The same Medicare
that Republicans now claim they are fighting to DEFEND.

Odd, no?

Maybe you should walk thru your local VA hospital and
tell the patients there about horrors of public health
care and how only leeches and socialists would support it.

"I believe government cannot provide affordable health care"
George Bush, July 23, 2007, after having an operation paid
for by the government in a government hospital.

I wonder why?

Could it be that there are now millions dependent on the program and it
simply *can't* be eliminated any more than SS can be eliminated.

You seem to have missed my point entirely.

If you believe this is just about health care, that's your choice.

And we'll get just what he and congress get if we pass this bill, right?

But, the bigger point is what this bill is *really* about. Money and
control.

Of you.

If you believe it is a secret plot to take over
health care and create "death panels" that is your
choice.

How do you think wealthy people get wealthy?

What is the "wealthy" demo of 250K plus?

Most of them work for the money, and create jobs in one way or another,
through employing others or spending their earned dollars.

So when you say "tax the wealthy", you effectively say "tax the
successful, hard-working citizen".

It's ok, though. The small business owner who decides against hiring a
minimum wage kid because his taxes went up, or raises his prices to
compensate, will have no problem adjusting.

And that poor kid just might have to contend with the fact that prices
on everything have gone up due to the proposed VAT, and he'll be paying
to have his carbon capped and traded too.

While hiding from the government because he can't afford health
insurance, and doesn't want to pay a fine.

He'll hope he has enough change to buy a McDonalds coffee.

Heaven forbid that people other than white male

So, why aren't you moving to the regulation-free
country of Sudan?

"Air pollution has been substantially controlled"
Ronald Reagan, campaigning in 1980. Three days later his
plane had to be diverted from landing in Los Angeles due
to one of the worst smog alerts in the city's history.
