New newsgroups available in houston.*

Three new houston.* newsgroups were lauched today at the request of many
of you.

First is houston.sports. This unmoderated newsgroup is for the discussion of
all sporting activities, professional or otherwise in the Houston area. You
can talk about the Astros, Owls, Hot Shots or Houston Little League here.

You can also use houston.sports as a place to announce your nonprofit sporting
activies. If you want to post the schedule for the professional sports on
an monthly basis, that is ok, but posing for-profit stuff every day is too
much. Use good judgement.

If there is adequate demand, we can always subdivide this later.

Next, there is houston.jobs.wanted. If you need a job and you want that
job to be in Houston, put your request and resume here. Please read the
FAQs in the misc.jobs area for the guidelines. They apply here, too.

Finally, there is houston.jobs.offered. If you have a job offered in Houston,
post the announcement here. Again, please read the FAQs in the misc.jobs
area for the guidelines. PLEASE DON'T POST JOB OFFERS WHERE THE PERSON WILL NOT
BE WORKING IN THE HOUSTON AREA. Job offers in California or Boston, don't
belong, ok?
