REQUIREMENTS
Successful applicants must be licensed to practice medicine in Texas by the
State Board of Medical Examiners; certified by an appropriate American Medical
Specialty Board or a Master of Public Health Degree or Master of Science Degree
from an approved school of public health. One year full time practice in
public health or be licensed to practice medicine in Texas by the State Board
of Medical Examiners and have three years experience in full time public health
practice.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITES
Applicant will provide executive leadership, management and coordination for
County's Health and Human Services Division. Works closely with elected
official and policy-making bodies. Manages and coordinates resources to
reflect County's policies, procedures, and approved budget plan. Acts as
liaison between County Commissioners and Program Managers. Interacts with
Program Managers to provide managerial support. Organizes and facilitates
interactions between Division, County departments and external groups and
constituents. Foster creation of tactical and long range plans to further
objectives of strategic plan.
