Title: Software Manager
Education: BS in Computer science, Engineering or
equivalent experience
Experience: Minimum 5 years experience in software
development and support. Experience in project scheduling,
resource management and project accounting. Preference given to
candidates with knowledge of oil field terminology and
understanding of technical oil field applications.
Description: This position will be responsible for the
management of project teams, the coordination of their
development activities, and their successful completion. This
position requires interaction and communication in areas outside
the software group, which includes presentations and the
management of the project requirements and specifications.
Responsibilities include periodic tracking of project
schedule, cost and resource loading. Coordination of project
releases activities such as integration, testing, documentation,
etc. and ensuring that all the infrastructure necessary to
support a new product is in place prior to commercialization.
Skills: Microsoft Windows development experience with Visual C++
and/or Visual Basic
Experience with Unix OS, C and C++ languages
Strong Computer Skills
Project Management
Software Engineering (process, procedures & standards)
Business Management exposure
Technical Writing and Presentation
