Item # 1245506659 ON EBAY NO BIDS YET

This is a modem that will you allow you to connect to ISDN service from
SOUTHWESTERN BELL OR VERIZON it supports 64k on each channel for a total of
128k. I have had for just over one year. It has performed great. It was
re-flashed with the latest firmware by Lucent about a year ago. It also has
to analog ports for voice and fax. It connects to the parallel port on your
PC. (No network card required) If you are the winning bidder here is what
you will get: ? Ascend Pipeline 15 Dual Channel ISDN Modem ? Ascend Pipeline
Companion (CD-ROM) ? Ascend Pipeline Users Guide (ISDN Bandwidth on Demand)
? Brand-new Ascend Pipeline power supply ($5 FOR SHIPPING)

ISDN IS A GREAT OPTION IF YOU NEED RELIABLE DIAL UP ACCESS. I DID THE MATH.
ROADRUNNER $50 MONTHLY, HOME PHONE SERVICE $40 WITH ONE LINE. ISDN (SLIGHTLY
LESS THROUGH PUT) $65 AND YOU AUTOMATICALLY GET TWO PHONE LINES (WITH FASTER
FAX THROUGHPUT) AND EV1 ONLY CHARGES $20 FOR DIAL UP ON DUAL CHANNEL. THIS
IS A GREAT OPTION IF YOU CANNOT GET DSL OR ROADRUNNER IN YOUR AREA AND YOU
WANT TO BE ABLE TO DIAL UP IN LESS THAN 10 SECONDS.

If you are going to crosspost and attempt to sell things on this newsgroup,

Has anyone actually installed a new ISDN link in the past 18 months? It
seems like antiquated technology to me... 128kbps for more than the price
of cable or DSL... whoo hoo!

There are still lots of places where ISDN is all you can get. It's a
damn sight better than dialup!

Antiquated ? ISDN is still a standard in most offices where high speed
cable or DSL is not available and where comapnies cannot afford fractional
services. ISDN is only $10 per channel a month also, 128k = $20, about the
cost of most premium services out there. I have a DSL line and use dual
channel ISDN for my backup. Well worth the cost (even though my DSL has
only dropped out 2 times in one year ;) )
