Hi, never posted here before, and by the looks of some of these posts, I doubt
I'd want to be a part of this fun crowd, but I thought I'd send out this
message. If any of you are long-lost Late Night with Conan O'Brien fans, we
are currently trying to flood KPRC with email trying to get them to at least
let viewers vote for Late Night at 11:35PM, the time slot the show is supposed
to have, rather than its terrible 2:10AM slot. Currently, KPRC is allowing
people to vote for reruns of either Entertainment Tonight, Montel Williams, or
Jerry Springer to be shown after the Tonight Show, completely ignoring the fact
that Late Night should be given a chance.

If anyone wants to help out, email ne...@kprc.com, don't mention Late Night in
the subject heading because the email is starting to bounce back to people
(those tricky morons at channel 2 figured out filters).

I'm only speaking to any Late Night fans out there, I am not concerned with
your problems with Conan O'Brien or whatever, I just wanted to word to get out.
Thanks for any help.

I have no idea where they are applying their filters, but you can
also use those other two addresses, too. They are where the news2
email gets sent. Maybe the Aries machine does not filter. :)

More support for Conan!
Please help out, everyone!

What do you find of interest in Conan O'Brien show? Seemed like
another not ready for primetime bubble-headed entertainment type to
me. With a choice among Jerry Springer, Montel Williams, and an
`Entertainment' rerun - I'd chose to go to bed.
Do your self a favor - get satellite TV, and you can chose among pages
of programs at any hour. Local TV stations and cable TV are dying
entities - a vast wasteland of commercials with a few moments of
attempted entertainment and bias propaganda called `news'. Why let
some local or network executive chose programs for you? Channel 2 is
perhaps the worst of many very lousy local channels - they have been
around longer and had more experience at boring mediocrity.

late night with conan o'brien has wonderful humor. much better than any
other late night show. conan used to be a producer and writer for the
simpsons. and i find that show one of the funniest i have ever seen.

Unlike most all of late nite TV, Conan is a pretty funny guy. Of
course Jerry and ET suck, but Montel appears to be a good guy.

And 95% of it sucks. But Conan is actually good, and it would be
free to watch if KPRC would move it to a normal hour.

I think you are missing the point, Von. The executives made the
decision and Sara is NOT wanting them to do so, so she is trying
to get people to help change their minds.

Agreed.

Good luck. They wont do it. I have asked this a few times over the years,
and both times I got a response saying something like 'Houstonians prefer
this and that, and we show Conan at 3am. Thank you have a nice day'

I am convinced that Conan or his producer must have banged who ever is in
charge of programming decisions at KPRC's wife or something similar.

I think Conan is easily the funniest talk show there is. Ever see that one
where they took a road trip to Houston to film themselves waiting around
until 3am to catch the show? Hilarious. Triumph (the dog puppet I think)
is also hilarious. The thing on the dog show had me laughing so hard I
couldnt hardly breathe.

No way. How would you survive without their alliteration filled 'big'
stories?

Seriously, I agree. Their newscasts are enough to drive me to kill.
