The last remnant of the Texas Tumbleweed chain, the Pecos
Grill was a family steak house - ungraded meat at a
reasonable price. I liked their sirloin, but obviously
didn't eat there enough (evidently they closed in
early May; I didn't notice until last night, when I passed
it driving home from the Jazzy Cafe).

Unselfconsciously retro; a commodity in increasingly
short supply.

My favorite pic with my ex was with the large moose mount
at Pecos. And my daughter loved the music on the weekends
...and so it goes...

The Pecos Grill in Tomball is modeled after the (now closed) TC

eaten there since right after it opened, when it wasn't at all
impressive.

and Jazzy Cafe has failed me. I've tried it twice in the last 2 months,
both times failures.

I won't miss it. The only time I ate there, a couple years back, I
happened to be wearing a tye died t-shirt. The hostile glares from the
patrons and waitstaff gave me a menaced feeling I hadn't had since being a
long haired hippy freak in 1969. I've never seen so many throwbacks. I felt
like I was in a Geico caveman commercial.

Now that's sad. I've gotten those same looks at restaurants while wearing a
tie dye. It sucks, and I think those folks are assholes.

New owners, rotten attempt at cross cultural menu.
