I know these are no longer in production, but there's always someone with
just one more to get rid of. My daughter is getting married & has requested
one of her own (or else she's threatened to take ours with her).

I prefer real, fresh, coffee, but there seem to be plenty of pod people.

I have no idea what Jeremy's post has to do with yours, other than the
Melitta brand, but I'm in a group with some people who would know where
there may be a few of the Clarity coffeemakers left, if there are any at
all. I'll check with them. I've got one and love it. It's a shame it
(apparently) sold so poorly -- most of the features of a Technivorm at just
a fraction of the price.

Robert -
It looks like the Clarity has gone from "discontinued" to "really, really
unavailable." A few of the Melitta Clarity machines were popping up from
time to time on QVC.com, but apparently haven't appeared for quite some
time. Quite a few people have claimed that the Presto Scandinavian
(available at Costco or through costco.com) is another reasonably priced
drip machine that produces water heated to the proper temp and that makes
good coffee. Or maybe you could comb through HEB stores to see if one might
still have a Clarity on the top shelf or back in the warehouse area. That's
how I found mine, about a year and a half ago. I had been reading about the
machine, which was selling for about $75 then, then looked up as I was
walking down the coffee aisle at HEB and found one, in a box covered with
dust, for $19.99. Good luck, at any rate.

Thanks for trying to help me out. There were a bunch on eBay a month or so
ago but they've disappeared. The Clarity is in the same class as the Black &
Decker Infuzin, too good to last. These were the two best coffee makers ever
made that sold for less than MSRP $75.

I am sorry, there was nothing in the original post to specify which type of
coffee maker,As I make my regular coffee in an espresso machine by overloading
the water and under loading with coffee, I have little experience with a drip
system.
