Peg and I dropped in there this morning as there was a long wait at our
usual place.
It's in a strip mall at 34th and Mangum. It's typical taqueria fare but done
pretty well. The sauce on my huevos rancheros was tangy and had large pieces
of onion and pepper. The chips were crisp, coffee was hot and strong. The
frejoles were made fresh and the tortillas were hot and thin. To top it off,
prices were very low and the staff friendly. We'll definitely be back again.

We received no compensation of any nature from the restaurant nor was the
management aware of any review we might, or might not, share about the
establishment. We just liked the place and are sharing the experience with
our friends.

I'll have to try it out. I've been hitting a carniceria (La Herradura)
at Mangum and Sherwood (one block south of 34th) that has a little
steam table for to-go tacos. Now, it's no Ruchi's, but it is just
down the street from my kid's day-care. Four or five kind of pork
fillings, and a couple of beefs. Carnitas by the pound. They also
sell a pan dulce called 'quesadilla' which is sort of like pound
cake made with bakers cheese; very very good.

Crap. I forgot to mention (in another thread) that the owner of Villa
Arcos is a former (political) client of my wife. There goes my
integrity.

Ruchi's is a favorite of mine. Love the tacos al pastor.
