2016 Annual Print Competition Winners & 2016/2017 Category Levels

As promised this past Tuesday night at our annual award meeting, please see attached a PDF showing the 2016 Annual Print Competition Winners and the 2016/2017 Print Competition Category Levels. Congratulations to the HPS members who created award-winning images and as well as those who are advancing in the competition level categories for the coming year. Please let me know if you see any discrepancies between your own records and the list of Points / Category Levels. (I have been known to make a mistake once or twice in my life and would like to correct any errors if needed.)
Our next monthly print competition is January 24th. The Special Assignment is “Shadows.” After that, the Special Assignments (as currently scheduled) are “Back Lighting” for February and “Triangles” for March. (Given the recent lack of interest in the Special Assignments category, these latter two topics may be changed if decided by the new print competition vice-president, Kathryn O’Connor, with the mutual agreement of HPS members.)
I have enjoyed my time as HPS Print Competition VP over the last two years. Thank you for your help and support. I know that the print competitions are in good hands with Kathryn (Kate) this coming year and I also know that Paul Talley and the other officers have great ideas for the future of the Houston Photographic Society!
